Comments:

Another field day style expedition to my cabin in northern Wisconsin...
Balmy conditions to string up my 30 foot inverted L and K9AY loop....last year
I was tromping through 3 feet of snow...this year 1/4 inch of snow and lake is
still open water!
I thought conditions on day one were "OK" for me....not much west
coast and only a couple Europe heard.  But I did have my 2nd best QSO total in
last 10 years.
Day 2 stunk!  I guess the K index rising from 3 to 5 did me no favors up
north...probably on edge of aurora oval and too much absorbtion...In fact
middle of the night I went outside to see if my antenna was still in the air.

>From about 2-7 am local time, there were no stations heard except the big
guns...and they were weak.  No Europe...handful of Carribean.
My day 2 total was lowest in last 10 years...it wasnt for lack of trying....
