Comments:
K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. For the
2015 ARRL 10 M experienced operators were K3DI, N3UM, and W3GB.
Also, new Tech KC3EIS made some training QSOs.
All of us had things limiting our BIC time (visiting family,
concert tickets) but we were on for 17.5 hours. In the first
2 hr. there was no F layer propagation, but we made 33 CW and
24 SSB Qs, mostly in MD, DC, and 4 contiguous states; many loud
PVRCs. Got CT and MA on VHF-style LOS, plus 1 each LA, FL, and
TX: probably brief weak E skip.
Starting 13Z Sat. on CW we worked Caribbean and SA and a few weak
EUs S&P. 1430-1500Z we ran EUs at 90+/hr on CW but it did not last.
15-18Z we worked EUs and W/Ks S&P on SSB, then ran 75+/hr 1800-1840Z.
Did some more CW (EU and W/K) until 20 Z, after which no ops were
available until 13Z Sun.
Condx to EU Sun. were just OK, but we made 91 CW Qs running in 2 hr.
Got good SSB rates to western W/K 19-20 Z. The band just died after
2130 Z. We scraped up 15 CW Qs in the next hour: 2 CA, 1 AZ,
the rest local. Quit at 2230 after 1 last mult: an LU, ESP+1 dB.
