Comments:

Thanks to the organization sponsoring the OK RTTY DX Contest. Thanks, also, to
all who were kind enough to work me in the Contest. All QSOs are appreciated.

This was the first contest using the first on the tower antenna, a homemade
Moxon at 145 ft. All the other antennas I had used for the last 9 years had
been removed about a year and half ago for maintenance or replacement.

Also, this was my first attempt at using N1MM for a whole contest. I've tried
several times in the past, but gave up as just too much to digest going from
Writelog to N1MM without several trial runs, not trying to do SO2R, etc. The
OK RTTY Contest was perfect timing to give N1MM a more serious trial as the
antenna situation forced a SO1R operation. I had been practicing using N1MM in
smaller contests, CWT, NS RTTY, and got the hang of it, but not to the extent of
using it for a lengthy RTTY contest such as the OK RTTY Contest. As to whether
to switch to N1MM or stay with WL. that decision is still out.

Both S/W programs have there pluses and minuses. Part of the issue has to do
with my ingrained operating style and trying to force N1MM functions to mimic
WL's. As it stands, N1MM is equal if not a bit better for SO1R. However,
there are some issues that need to be addressed with N1MM before it is as
functional as WL in SO2R (at least the way I do SO2R). But then this is part
of the fun of amateur radio contesting, always trying to improve.

Again, thanks for all the QSOs in the Contest.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  73,
  Mike, K4GMH
