Comments:

It was definitely worth being up for the start of this contest Saturday morning
for the hour or so the band was still 'ON'.  This year I finally entered into
the "if you can hear 'em you can work 'em" zone having a slightly
better antenna than last year (I have a remote tuner at the base so I can put
my whopping 300w right at the feedline).  As was the case last year, Top Band
operators seem to be cut from a finer, more considerate cloth; thank you for
your patience and persistence.  Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!  Gear this
year was a Yaesu FT-857D into an Ameritron ALS-500M amp (running a cool 300w)
which feeds to an LDG RT-600 Remote Antenna Tuner at tge base of my Inverted-L
for 160m.
