Today I tried out operation from the Jefferson ARC clubhouse where the antennas
are much higher than my mobile -- a classic 33 at about 50ft vs a HI-Q 4/80 at
6-7 feet. I don't know whether it was conditions or participation but the
results were about the same as from my mobile. However, operator comfort was a
lot higher at the JARC clubhouse than in the back seat of my Pathfinder. Hope
to give it a try from the JARC operating room again in near future, even
possibly remoting into there.
