Comments:

After struggling with blowing many fuzes during December, and had checked
everything that could possibly fail, I decided to replace the Hi voltage ON/OFF
switch because its lever had a chip and was shorter than it should have been. 
Upon removal, a small drop of silvery substance fell out on the floor.  It was
a star-shaped-piece of flat solder.  So I eliminated a star on Christmas Eve
that fixed my 4-1000A Amplifier and 3500 vdc power supply! It must have been
wedged agains the ON terminal and the front panel.  It was actually a Christmas
Eve present for me because it was a star and a present! No further problems.
