Comments:

This was a trial run and rig testing for the 599DXA's Field Day effort this
year. We will be entering in the AB category for the first time and I wanted to
checkout the rigs we are planning to use and also get a feel for running QRP in
a contest, something I don't have a lot of experience with. All told, I used 4
different rigs, K1(2), K2 and Flex-1500 swapping them every hour or two. All
rigs we will be deploying in FD. Antennas were my T8 LPDA and 40m dipole. All
station equipment was solar/battery powered, as it will be during FD.
Obviously, S&P is the order of the day when you are QRP in a major contest
like WPX, but I was encouraged by what I experienced. Looking forward to FD!!
