Comments:

The conditions on 6 meters were different than last year. In 2014 I had 1100 Qs
and 220 Grids. This year I had half the Qs and more Grids! I guess conditions
were more generalized. I stayed in the seat until midnight local time and got a
late start on Sunday, missing some good propagation there. Best rate was 0200
first day with 87 contacts. (Rate sheet below.) Glancing at the log I saw this
DX worked: CO8ZZ, C6ATA, 9Y4D, ZF1EJ, CO8DM, PV8AZ, XE3N, CO3JA, CO2WZ and
ZF1RC. I think all called me and I did not have antennas pointed in their
direction. I only left my CQ frequency during slow periods when I saw signals
on the panoramic display.

The new spotting rules turned out great. It was far less boring during slow
periods. (Although I admit I dozed off about a hundred times on Sunday!) I was
afraid the spotting network would be clogged with people self-spotting every
minute, but that didn't happen.

Please urge the addition of a single band 6 meters category in this event. It
would encourage even more 6 meter activity and keep people like me from
directly competing with those who have worked hard to build serious VHF/UHF
stations with all the bands. Just sayin'
