Nearly 33 hours of operating, some hours with not a single QSO.  It was still
fun, but this contest separates the Big Leaguers from the Little Leaguers in
this part of the world :-)  Spent Sunday trying hard yet ultimately
unsuccessful in catching up to what N1RR accomplished in just 12 hours of
operating on Friday and Saturday.  Well done, Charlie! :-)

One of the great things about Radiosport is you can learn from other more
seasoned operators in the middle of the action.  I learned a new pileup
operating technique this weekend:  when you are calling a station and he comes
back to a partial callsign, it _doesn't matter_ if that partial call isn't even
close to yours - it's perfectly OK to keep calling!!!  Several US and EU hams,
including a few well-known and revered contestmen, were heard doing this
clearly as a matter of strategy.  Since these guys do it, it must be the
_right_ thing to do!!!  As a result, I'm gonna try that next time; maybe I'll
do better.  To those great teachers out there, you know who you are, thanks!
