Comments:

Nice contest on Saturday, but things got very slow on Sunday due to insufficient
activity. Shorten from 48 hours to 24 hours?

It's a lot of fun to compare peoples' ages through the exchange number. Despite
having just turned 37 years of age I'm clearly in the "wet behind the ears,
perhaps still wears diapers" category :) The majority were over 60, but I
also worked a handful of operators who are younger than myself.

Bandwise, 20m and 15m were in full swing, and I thought 15m was fabulous with
practically 48h of condx from OH0 to JA. Quite a bit of summer QSB on both
bands, with a lot of age number repeats requested.

Had to finish the operation and go to bed at 22 UTC (01 local) on Sunday
evening, as I needed to get up just after 03 UTC for travel back to the
mainland. Couldn't risk falling asleep or not being in control of my faculties
in the midst of a crucial meeting this morning! Consequently I also missed the
10m JA opening at the end, which at least Kazu JK3GAD @OH8X caught.

160m/40m suffered due to an antenna handicap (160m sloper away from AS and a
single 2-el 40m shorty), and the low bands 160/80/40 suffered as a whole due to
our lovely northern "midnight sun" and the consequent lack of a
simultaneous period of darkness in OH0 and JA. When comparing to the
competition's scores, the midnight sun reflects as a huge dent in the 40m
totals.

Worked over 50 non-Asian stations who called in, perhaps due to me being a
semi-rare OH0. This inflated my QSO totals at the cqcontest.net scoreboard, but
this did not scare LY5W @LY2W who kept closing in on my score on Sunday no
matter what I tried. After having caught up during the day and evening, at 22
UTC he took the torch and ran with it, well done Sam!

Thanks for the QSOs, and thanks to the others in the Radio Arcala and Brändö
Island Group teams for the support!
