This was my first effort at 1E QRP.  All activities including laptop were run
on batteries.  Some of the Q's were operated on a gel cell that was charged by
solar power. Home station antennas were used including the 5 element 20 meter
monobander and the TH6DXX were fixed for the entire duration of the event.

  The radio use was a new FT991 which operated perfectly.  Although it was
necessary to pick stations that had strong signals when in S&P mode, the
band scope was a wonderful tool.  Because of the limited power the rotatable
antennas were fixed at a SW direction and the lion's share of the contacts were
6's.

Three antennas were used.  The 20 meter beam, the TH6dxx and a 40-80 meter
super loop.  All were connected vial a coax switch to the fifth wheel trailer
and except for the use of the gel cell all contacts were made from the trailer
batteries with the fuses pulled on the converter. Laptop charging was done with
an inverter also connected to the trailer batteries.  The batteries are two
large deep cycle RV batteries and there was no sign of excessive discharge
although upon replacing the fuses the converter immediately started up.

I will be interested to se how other 1E QRP scores came out.  It was hard at
times to make contacts even with strong signals where the competition was other
stations running more power.  Running was iffy but did provide a number of the
Qs.
