Comments:

While conditions weren't particularly great, they were certainly good enough to
make this one of my better Sweepstakes.  Even with our puppy Willie needing to
go to the vet for a sudden bout with the dizzies (he'll be fine), I was able to
stay put and operate the full contest.  I managed to get a Clean Sweep around
10am local (1800UTC) by working VO1HP for NL. This year I used a Yaesu FT-857D
into my Ameritron ALS-500M (running a nice cool 300w).  Antennas were my
Cushcraft A3S Yagi, and a ground-mounted Butternut HF9V with 83 radials.  In
addition to all the fun and excitement of Sweepstakes, I managed to work W7RN
on 15m, finishing my ARRL 15m Worked All States, and as a result, finishing my
5 band Worked All States.
