Comments:

K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. For the
2015 CW SS we had 3 operators available: K3DI and N3UM who did
SS CW in 2014, plus W3GB who has mostly done SSB contests. W3GB
got Extra the old way by copying 20 WPM, and was ready to try a
major CW contest. He used the MRP 40 CW decoder software some,
but often found it easier to copy by ear.

20 m. was good to start: 140 Qs and 45 mults in the first 2.5 hr.,
many W6 and W7 plus strong backscatter to places like SC, EPA,
and WV. 40 and 80 were not as fast, but steady. We had 253 Qs
and 66 mults when we quit at 0621 for a 5.6 hr. break.

On again at 1200 Z, 80 m. was good for 55 Qs in 63 min.
Made a good run on 40 m.: 115 QSOs 1328 - 1518 Z at our best rate,
63/hour. After that we stayed on 20 m. for most of the slow Sun.
afternoon, with a brief try of 15 m.

Got AB and SK between 21 and 23 Z to make it 79 sections.
The last 2 we got were UT at 0013 and PAC at 0047 Z, with AH6KG
about 2 dB above ESP. High-band propagation Sun. was poor to
the NW: we never heard KL7 or VE8, so ended with 81 sections.
We made 146 more QSOs than last year, due to 5.5 more hours BIC
and to making 119 more Qs on 80 m. with a much better antenna.
