Comments:
The same old setup as SSB part. OB11-3 stack is still waiting for instalation.
Only replaced fixing wire ropes on single TA-19 military tower. Used new 5mm
isolated and UV stabilised material instead (equal to Mastrant D-F2). Seems to
be ok. Windstorm and gusts around 90km/h during contest. Antennas are still
erected.
DX propagation better first 24h period. No serious night opening. Only some
short pings to NA and JA. Monitored decreasing SSN index at dx.qsl.net. Wanted
to say wow, 24 solar cycle is definitely lost. Seems we need to realise bigger
antenna setups like SJ2W style, or need to enjoy lower bands :-) BTW congrats
to SJ2W new 20m EU record.
Also had some technical troubles with lost Wintest to Microkeyer MKII
communication. Suddenly during contest focused lost frequency info from
FT1000MP MKV main VFO display which was showing only dots and unabled to
control it. Restarted all equipment without change. Tried to upgrade firmware
in MKII and MK router software. Wintest version also. No positive result.
Started debug utility in MK router and watched CAT communication. Only timeout
data frames. Said "Hmmmm it seems to be dead FT1k or Microkeyer ...."
After next 30min of serious research ... oups switch on ... and suddenly
everything worked fine. I dont know why or what happened, but was happy back in
contest.
Thanks to all contest participants and stay tuned ...
