VE7UF let me use his superb station again and I sure was happy to have 2x 3/3/3
stacks here in Zone 3, especially with these low sunspot numbers.

No Europe heard on 80m and 10m.

RU1A came through for about 10 minutes on 15m, no other EU heard on 15m here on
Vancouver Island.

40m was pretty good on Saturday night, not so much on Sunday, but still better
than last year.

20m was the go-to band. Signals were weak and sometimes quite fluttery with a
lot of rapid QSB, but that's just how it usually is. 

I have a feeling that not many 100W/vertical Europeans were able to break
through to the West Coast, but there were plenty of HP/Yagi stations to work.
With the QTC business going it kept me reasonably busy when the band was open.
As usual, QTC's were fun, though I think it's one of those things where giving
is better than receiving. My hat off to the brave souls whom I could barely
copy but they still asked for a QTC.

Two hours before the end I passed my last year's score and pulled the plug,
made it home just in time to watch the Canadian bronze in the 100m in Rio and
go for a swim in the local river with my dog. Europe might be tough from here
on the radio but the UTC-7 has its advantages.
