Butternut HF9V ground mounted

Buddipole antenna at 16 feet
configured as a dipole for 20 meters

With the dipole only at about 1/8 wave length
up it still made contacts to California. It was
much quieter than the vertical and the received
signal was stronger and much easier to listen to.
