Comments:

Cary has been visiting Ottawa this weekend and had time for a quick trip to my
station. Rich also joined us. We started operating at 7:30 Z Saturday evening.
It was much better than last weekend. When a JA called in, heard the call first
time - but needed few confirmations to verify it was really a JA.

We were just taking turns at the run radio. But that was not all: Cary and
Gerry, W1VE (who was at the time in Toronto on a business trip), were setting
up a remote operation from Cary's notebook to VY1AAA. That was my first time
trying remote in a contest, it was really cool. It takes getting used to, but
the connection was reliable and there were no noticeable drop-outs. Thanks to
Cary and Gerry for a very unique experience.
