Last several years, I've usually put in a full-time effort in this contest.
This year, however, I wasn't going to be able to. But, I did want to get on an
hand out a few Qs. It's generally a blast.

This time, I immediately ran into a problem. Keying was somewhat erratic. I
made several attempts to diagnose the problem. Keying was only erratic from the
computer. Last year, I had a problem which was solved by removing a receiving
antenna. This year, I pulled everything out of the K3 except the headphones,
power, computer and antenna, and still had problems. 

After fooling with this for a while, and working a few stations via search and
pounce, I got a phone call and had to QRT. Perhaps I can sort this out for next
year.
