Comments:

After 28 years of SSB contest I've decided to learn a bit of CW and to
participate in my first SOAB CW Contest. For this reason my big thanks to
everybody that have had the patience to contact me.

To avoid a strong pileup (I'm not ready for it yet...) I decided also to
participate in the LP category but... guy... from a remote place like VR2 is
really hard to contact the NA stations with a barefoot power.

Unfortunately the 10 meters have been the worst band with ZERO QSOs.
15 meters: quite good but with short propagation (mainly west coast stations)
20 meters: very noisy and with a super strong echo due the propagation via
North Pole. Incredible difficult for me to understand the very distorted
signals.
40 meters: outstanding! Considering the low power I thought that I couldn't
have a lot of chances but my Delta Loop helped me really a lot and the last
hours of the contest have been unbelievable with a great LP opening with the
east coast
80 meters, despite a 1/4 wave vertical antenna, most of the stations didn't
hear my "desperate" (Hi) calls. Thanks to the 20 stations that have
had the patience to contact me.

See you in the ARRL SSB. For this occasion I'll install my temporary contest
antennas and my contest set up.

73 de VR2XAN Alberto (also IV3TAN)

RTX Icom 7600 (Veeeery nice RTX)
10-40 meters: Rotary Dipole Crushcraft D4
40 meters: Delta Loop
80 meters: 1/4 Wave Vertical
160 meters: 1/2 Wave Dipole
