Comments:

40 W (30-35 W on meter), dipoles up 20-30'.

I decided that since the last few RTTY contests didn't go well when I was doing
search-and-pounce, and with so many operators having the SDRs and SO2R setups, I
would not do any search and pounce. I was generally high in the band, and
despite having what seemed to me to be a clear frequency, the pileups weren't
too intense.

The one exception to the no-intense-pileups came Sunday midday as I was making
lunch while attending the CQ robot on the kitchen table. About five minutes
before my pasta was done cooking, I suddenly was making back-to-back QSOs. As
the timer counted down, the run continued. Would I be able to drain the pasta
and get back to my macro in time? Fortunately, I had a brief let-up, but still
not quite enough to get the pasta drained without having to go mash more
buttons.

Most of the rest of the excitement was provided by The Merchant of Venice,
Measure for Measure, A Comedy of Errors, Love's Labours Lost, and Two Gentlemen
of Verona.

I'm not sure whether propagation was awful (it seemed pretty good to me) or
whether my lower power just wasn't getting out very well, but the rate was
pretty poor most of the time. My best hour before calling it quits at 0800z
Sunday had 9 QSOs.

Many thanks to all who found me, especially the stations in CA---who
collectively made up >25% of my log.
