Comments:

Always a wonderful contest! Conditions did not seem to be very good, with a high
A index - very high noise levels on the low bands, and I only managed to work a
couple of JA's. The Yaesu FTDX5K DNR filter sure came in handy, as did the
SAL-30 low band listening antenna - wow does that make a difference, but there
were still a couple of weak callers who tried but I could not copy them -
apologies to those stations.  For this contest, I used the packet cluster in
the assisted low power category, and was amazed at the number of erroneous
spots! I am fearful that the point-and-click approach may have induced a few
log errors on call signs that I didn't catch -- may chose to avoid assisted in
the future. I had many QLF moments in this contest, as it was my first effort
in quite a while -- still lots to learn and to appreciate with loggers, rigs,
and propagation. This was a great time as always -- thanks for the Qs! 73 ted
