Comments:

Weekend started out bad- helped take care of my infant grandkids on Thursday, as
they were both home sick.  Darned if I didn't pick up the respiratory sickness
that they had- by the start of the contest the chest was packed, the sinuses
were packed, and the head ached.  And this was for a phone contest!  I spent
several days before the contest setting up a hard drive DVK, and the time spent
allowed me to complete the contest with a minimum of talking.  Good thing- my
voice would not have made the weekend if I had had to voice out each CQ!

10M was really strange.  Worked a couple of YOs on Sunday morning about 1300;
other than a few So Americans and Ws, they were the only stations on the band. 
Then a little later I heard TC3P and LZ9W; both were S7 but darned if they
couldn't hear me!  I was kinda figuring that would be it for 10M, but boy was I
wrong!  10M provided a real lift, i.e. gave me something to do, for 4 hours in
the middle of Sunday!  It was amazing for awhile, but at the same time the
spotlight propagation was quite evident.
