Comments:
K2-100 Vertical. Soooo, that didn't go so well. 10 minutes into the event, I
switched to 15M to see if anything was happening. Called a few times to Will
WJ9B and glanced at the SWR meter. It was swinging wildly. I went outside to
the antenna and figured it must be the 15M matching section on the HF6V. Took
it down and sure enough, the joint between the rivet and ring tongue was very
loose. Spent half and hour repairing that, put the antenna back up and
continued. When the wind blows it was causing the joint to rattle thus
disturbing the joint. So I'm glad I found that snafu before WPX this weekend.
