Comments:

Despite a small lull in my contesting activity over the last 3 years, I was
looking forward to this one for the last month or so especially as my friend
5B4XF had recently installed new antennas and I was keen to try them out. I was
also hoping to install my own antenna at the top of my tower even though I wasnt
planning to use it for the contest. True to my regular tradition of doing
antenna work of the Friday before the contest, I decided to spend all of
Thursday and Friday building the antenna, and putting it up on Friday
afternoon! Perhaps slightly more tired than what I had hoped for, I managed to
get 3.5 hours sleep before the start of the contest.

I kept complexity to a minimum by only using SO1R style of operation. I had
constant pile-ups from the start and I definitely felt louder than last year
with the new antennas. The only issue was that I felt tired after about 22
hours of operation and took out time to nap on 4 occasions operating a total
43.6 hours only.

Despite the simplicity of my operation I managed a personal record qso number
but at a very mediocre multiplier score. I am happy with the final score and
really enjoyed the conest.

Thanks to everyone for the QSOs and congratulations to the superhuman operators
for their amazing scores.

I am of course extremely grateful to Paris 5B4XF and XYL for hosting me and
allowing me to operate his superb station.

CU next year!

Marios
