Comments:

This was simply an incredible radio experience. I've operated the phone leg of
this event a few times from Bijagua but this was first time for the CW portion
and as a single op.

Kam, N3KS, extended an invitation to me a few weeks after operating WAE CW from
here in August and I happily accepted.

I practiced hard during the months to get comfortable with dual pileup mode. I
was a bit nervous to see how it would play out because the real world is
different than using a simulator. It wasn't perfect but I believe it went quite
well - sorry for any LID moments. Many thanks to those who gave me pointers on
how to practice, especially KL9A.

Propagation was good to the states from here - very nice to have a solid
opening on 10 meters both days - especially on day two. Finished day one with a
little more than 300 Qs on 10 and added about 450 on day two.

I was hoping to be able to operat the entire 48 hours but ultimately decided to
take a pair of 90 minute sleep breaks on the second night. While I lost ground
to the pack doing that, I really believe I would have been exceptionally
inefficient on the second day without it. The final five or six hours produced
great rate and I think having a little sleep paid off during that time.

Always fun to move people and receive some unexpected mult surprises while
operating.

Many thanks to Kam for hosting me for this event and all who called in - what a
contest!

73,

Nate/N4YDU
