I knew that condx were bad, but I did not know how bad until I checked my past
scores. I have been in 22 ARRL SSB DX contests from my home QTH since 1991. (I
did the other 5 contests from TI5N and KH6SQ) In those 22 contests, this
contest ranks no. 20 in both score and no. of Qs! Only 1996 and 1997 were
worse!

My operating time of 25.1 hours may seem low, but when you are down to one or
two Qs an hour there is little sense in making yourself stay awake when
sleeping or exercise will make you more effective when there is some activity.

My best Q was with VI8BOD in zone 29 on 15 M. I also picked up the guys at
VP6EU (Pitcairn) on 10 and 15.

I only had one Q in Europe, CR5C on 20 M and heard only a couple more weak
ones. I never worked Africa, not even an EA8! In summary, I only had one QSO
east of the east coast of the USA all weekend!

10 M This band was weak on Sat and almost nonexistent on Sunday!

15 M I never heard a European station on 15.

20 M When everyone goes here during the day, it is not good for a QRP
station!

My DXCC was only 44 (normal 60 to 90)and WAZ was 16 (normal 23 to 28).

But I guess we better get used to it! See you in the WPX SSB!

....Bill W8QZA - W6QU
