FWIW I did manage to call 82 out of 83 .. low power  from here is tough at the
best of times 40 meters was terrible not a lot of activity and nobody heard me
... don't know why  but  even VE2/VE3 stations seemed to  have trouble hearing
my 100 watts  on ANY Band.... in  the  early moments I had thoughts of a find
em ...work em... LP sweep..... only station I never did get to find/call was VI
 so I almost had an SWL Sweep hi !  
activity seemed to be down from other years. all fun and  games
