Comments:

Thanks for all of the arm twisting from Dennis N8IVN and Tim N3QE - my first
ever foray into this contest. (Licensed since 59- Used to do 10 meter contest
yearly plus some on DX Tests). Fun contest with involved exchange that is
similar to SKCC contest exchanges BUT at much higher speeds.
Observations per Tim's invitation:
1- Mainly a CW Keyboard contest- Not here- Bencher paddle ( rusty CW hand that
got better, most of the time, as the contest went on), TS590 pre-programmed
memories - dumped exchange memory after 2 hours- easier just sending exchange
manually. Next year keyboard- gotta practice but first get 590 connected to the
computer.
2.- Impossible to run on 20 and even 40 running only 100 W and a wire loop for
160 up 65 feet. Ran on 80 couple of times but most of test was S&P. Gave
up on 15 early- NO amp, no beam, everyone chasing PR and VI, very deep QSB.
3. Lots of PVRC'ers Thank you for all of the QSO's.. Missed 1 continental and
2 Carrib Mults- No skimmer- just a lot of tuning and listening for the weak
ones- especially the Hawaiian.
4. Who said CW was dead- Lots of relatively new licensees, amongst the majority
of grey beards.
Again , thanks for the encouragement and assistance. See you on the SS SSB - .
See you next year for this one again for sure!

73 Phil
