Comments:

Conditions better than last year but quite different on the two days. Saturday
started well with first QSO at 06:09 into China and then steady through the
day. South America appeared early with first Brazil QSO at 09:19. First
Caribbean at 11:48. Plenty of stations from Africa. Not a great deal from North
America.

Sunday started much later with first QSO not until 07:36 and it wasn't until
09:15 that the band began to get going. Some good signals from Australia.
Caribbean from 11:39 and much more from North America through the afternoon.

Both days showed similar close-down patterns with last QSOs at 17:42/17:27 and
final signals disappearing around 18:30. So very much a daylight band in this
part of the world at this stage of the sunspots.

An enjoyable weekend for this wet string station with my only moan being the
ever-increasing number of stations, fed by cluster-fuelled pile-ups, who do not
give callsigns. Contest organisers really need to do something about this; maybe
a few disqualifications or bans would change behaviours. Casual participation
("giving away points") also seems to have dropped significantly.
Maybe those stations are fed up with the unruly pile-ups!

IC-756ProIII, Expert 1K-FA, fixed wire dipole at 4m. Writelog and micro KEYER
II.

Thanks for all the contacts. Looking forward to working some of you in ARRL 28
next month but I'm not expecting much!
