Comments:

The long promised geomagnetic disturbances never came..... 
There were so many 14 MHz Stateside new calls with strong signals 
on the band, that I never commenced thinking of changing bands. 
It was hardest to work the K5/N5's while they had a local pile-up. 
East coast generally worked on first call. Surprised to get EU's 
on backscatter while running LP and antenna fixed NW all the time.
