K3/100 KPA500 and wires

I was only on during some of the night time hours on Saturday night. It was
interesting the only two 20 meter QSO's I made were with 9A8A and S57C around
3:00 AM local time just before I shutdown. There were a few other EU stations I
heard as well but they CQ'ed in my face. Low band conditions were mediocre here
in GA. 40 meters was best to EU right after their sunrise but it was hard to get
their attention because they were working each other. 80 meters was OK at their
sunrise but not much activity. 9A8R, S59ZZ, 9A7V and 9A2AJ were beacons on 160
meters for hours on end but they couldn't hear 90% of the stations that called
them from the US. Took some time off to try to work TZ4AM on 160 meters close to
his sunrise but he couldn't hear anyone either.
