Comments:

This was a combination serious effort and a shakedown test for the shiny new
Flex 6600-M and Power Genius XL amplifier currently in hard core alpha testing.
(so why not beat it up with a RTTY Test, right?) apologies if I stumbled on a
qso or two as I was learning the new tools. More on that in a bit.

The contest, well, I love this one. I was,and we all were missing 10 meters, I
found some good mults on 40m and 80m chasing all paths (just in case 20 is a
bust as can happen here in W6), and then on Sunday morning I was pleased to
actually get a EU run going. FB. However in all of this fun and excitement,
appears I let a couple of Maritime multipliers slip by me.. so a bit of a
disappointment there. Seems the QSO count is down for sure(They must have not
shown up with their friend 10 meters, but mults are up other than my MAR qlf).

Overall the station performed AMAZING because N6RO was able to get a power
company RFI tech to fix some stuff, and it turns out hes a HAM! He may even want
to join the Radio Oakley contest team. Woohooo!

Alpha(battle) testing of the flex 6600M and Power Genius XL amp went amazingly
well, serving as 2 radios and 2 amplifiers in 1 package. Amp completely leaves
me in an amazed state. Congrats to Ranko 4O3A and Flex Radio for producing a
contesting BEAST in that amp! Both the transceiver and amp handled the RTTY
duty cycle of a complete SO2R setup without a fault. The integration of the new
gen of Flex and the amp is really something. Now the operator has to get used
to all this new stuff.

Special thanks always go to Ken, N6RO for the company, and hosting the SF Bay
Area's premier multi-multi station, and allowing a few of us the honor of
tagging along for the ride.
