Carolina windom

My first halfway serious effort from the new QTH.  Conditions seemed OK, but
lots of QSB.I was really impressed with how well the Carolina windom worked on
40M - I felt loud all evening.  I am still fighting terrible line noise on 20
and 15.  Fortunately, it was not bad on the bearing to Europe, but toward JA it
was horrific.  Also lots of QRN on 80.

I was puzzled, particularly on 40M, by the variation in signal strength among
the WRTC competitors.  Some of them were really weak, while others were middling
loud
