Club: Society of Midwest Contesters

Comments:

I did this contest Field Day style from a tent on a sandbar in the Wisconsin
River with generator power running 100W to a base-loaded vertical with radials
buried in the wet sand. It's a nice quiet location, and the antenna worked well,
although difficult to tune in the middle of the night. Overnight thunderstorms
on Friday delayed the start by three hours. I worked 51 countries and had some
good runs.
