Comments:

Signals were damped overall. On 14 MHz the only Stateside 
was Howie/N4AF... A few dB more antenna gain would make a 
great difference. Actually from CWT-round to CWT round at 
equivalent times during summer the signals from distant 
stations don't vary very much in SNR, so a few dB would
