Comments:

Saturday was pretty slow. No E-skip on 6M, but I was able to get some good
regional grids on FT8. Thanks to KC0P/R & N0HZO/R for getting out to two
grids, but that was it for rovers. Made some MSK144 contacts late night and
early Sunday morning. We finally got the E-skip late Sunday morning, and had an
excellent opening to the East Coast most of the afternoon. Occasional grids to
the west and southwest, but no major openings those directions. Checked FT8
occasionally for new grids. About 69 Qs on FT8 and 18 on MSK144. Most of those
grids were also worked on SSB or CW, but about 14 were worked only on digital.
During the long SSB and CW runs I was amazed at how many calls I had never
worked on 6M before! That would seem to bode well for the future. Thanks to
K0BBC/R (& AE0EE) for getting out and activating a few badly needed grids in
western Minnesota. I ran out of time at the end of the contest to complete with
a couple regional stations that would have provided several more band-grids.
But that means I kept pretty busy throughout, and that made for a very fun
contest.
