So this started out pretty normal then turned bizarre when I moved from 20 to
40.

No one could copy me on 40. It was obvious they were hearing me but couldn't
print. Brought up RBN and they weren't seeing me either. Long story short --
something unknown caused my TS-2000 to revert all its menu settings to the
defaults. For whatever reason, I had to set this radio to Inverse polarity to
make it work with MMTTY. The reset flipped it back to Normal. I spent close to
an hour going over and over software settings, updating software, rebooting, and
so forth before stumbling on the solution. Big thanks to Ray ND8L for letting me
know that the polarity was my problem and offering some troubleshooting tips.

Quit early because I was already so far behind and it was difficult to copy
anything through the static crashes on 80.   73 -- Ray WQ5L
