Comments:

Thanks to John Evans N3HBX for letting us use his fine station. Everything
worked great and it was nice to be back. The last time was Russian DX 2016
when my 10-year old kept me company that weekend.

Original plan was to do this as WRTC2018 practice from the KE3X station, but
upon further reflection and recognizing the current solar conditions, we
switched to The Farm to work more Russians and figured the overnight hours would
be more interesting (or less dull, depending on how you look at it).

Primarily Mark did 10, 15, 40 and 160 and I focused on 20 and 80. First time
doing M/2 in this event, and nice to not worry about lockouts. Normally we
would have left a lot of QSO's on the table with no In-Band operator but given
the conditions it didn't seem to matter much.

I caught some short naps in the operating chair while Iron Man Mark was logging
whopping 6, 10 and 8-QSO hours on 40 overnight. (Another 'You're not at W3LPL
any more' moment :-) Then Mark nodded off for a few minutes in Hour 24 while I
finished up on 20.

We worked a lot of VA QSO Party folks who gave us legitimate QSO numbers,
curious if those QSO's will make it through on the final scoring. Overall
Points/QSO was 4.7. 20-Meter CW was 5.4 as that's where most Russian stations
were logged. Amazing to see the Oblast numbers from the European Multi's -
it's clearly a different contest from over there!

73,

Ken KE3X and Mark KD4D
