Comments:

This session, I used SO2V and attempted to pounce on stations using both VFOS. I
swept the band from bottom to top with one VFO and from top to bottom with the
other while listening to both radios, one in each ear.

Drove me crazy. My friends who operate SO2R say to keep at it, eventually I'll
be able to focus on just one of the ears. All I can say is
"maybe....."..  :)
