Comments:

I committed my BIC for 8 hours and actually topped that, although not much was
spent Saturday night owing to a previous commitment (attending the Loudoun
Symphony concert my cellist wife was performing in--long drive to Ashburn, VA
and back). Missed a lot of red-hot activity at the start. 

Operated from home with modest antennas (low-altitude dipoles and an R6000
vertical), IC7410 and ALS-600 amp.

Band conditions on 20m and 15m seemed to be degrading a little Sunday as
"G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm levels were observed on 04 Nov due to coronal
hole high speed stream effects" (NOAA). Still, even as conditions and
participation fell off, there were still plenty of west coasters to work. 

Once again I thoroughly enjoyed my limited time in the CW Sweepstakes. Worked a
number of PVRC members and many around the country sending a check of
"49" in W0AIH's memory.
