Comments:

Crucial antenna work during available daylight this weekend took precedence over
a full effort. Yet, 9 hours of operations in Sweeps SSB proved to be a great
opportunity to receive unsolicited “strong” and “big” signal reports.
Once again, these reports proved that vertical wires base fed against 60 radials
really do get the job done on low HF! First, the 80 meter was working well and
then I got the 40 meters wire vertical finished on Sunday before the rain and
snow came again. Hearing many familiar call signs again was nice. Hearing them
say, “wow, what a signal” was even better! That result took away some of the
physical pain of this major installation. SS was fun again with a better
