Comments:
This one was a bit of slog at times since it was all S&P for me. I started
out not very motivated. Had a conflict Friday evening, so I didn't get started
till Saturday morning. Things were going reasonably well until my computer UPS
decided to shutdown. After the 2nd time I removed it. 40M was pretty good for
me Saturday evening. I probably hung out on 20M too long. But, I tend to do
better with my wires on 20M as the band fades. Less competition for the
remaining mults. Went to 80M and then down to 160M to pick up a few the easy NA
mults. Heard others working Europe. But, I couldn't hear them with my Inv-L.
Closed out on 80M about 3am Sunday morning as I was falling asleep at the
keyboard. Lot's of static crashes for me on 80M made for some difficult copy at
times. Got going again around 10am Sunday morning bouncing back and forth
between 15M and 20M as signals appeared on the band scope. Things were moving
along reasonably well. I almost quit when I took a lunch break because I was
feeling tired. Had around 350 Q's at that point. Decided I should push to get
400. When I hit 400 things were going well, so I said 450 would be a good
number. Well, it turned out that 500 looked to be in reach. So, I kept going
and notched #500 with 15 minutes to spare and padded with a few more. Highlight
was working Somoa on 40M, then a good run of JA's Sunday late afternoon on 20M.
As usual thanks to all for the Q's.
73, Eric
