Comments:
Just like last weekend, in the RTTY test, our SO2R station failed due to a
switching issue. Recovered by hard-wiring antennas. The other five stations
played FB. We had simultaneous CW and SSB capability on 80, 40, 20, 15m.
As expected, 15 and 10m numbers were down, and our total Qs down about 500 from
last year, total - 4027. 41% CW, 59% SSB.
10m: Flex 6600m/ACOM, 5/5/5 Stack; op - N6RO - nice 3 hour opening midday
Sunday.
15m SSB: K3/AL-1200,6/6/6 stack; ops - DG1CMZ Saturday - drained the band with
poor condx. WX5S: Sunday, condx better.
15m CW: K3/Alpha 76, 3L yagi @ 20' - WA6O Saturday, WX6S Sunday
20m SSB: K3/ALPHA 86, 5/5/5 stack; op K3EST iron man!
20m CW: K3/KPA500, C3 @ 80' - op K6AW iron man!
40m SSB: K3/Alpha 70, 4/4 stack - ops; N6RO, WX5S, DG1CMZ
40m CW: K3/Alpha 76, 2L Vert - ops; WA6O, N6RO, WX5S - band noisy, bad QSB
80m SSB: FLEX 6600m/ACOM 2000A, 2L QUAD - ops NA6O, DG1CMZ
80m CW: K3/KPA500, 4 SQUARE - ops K6AW, NA6O - band OK but noisy, activity down
on SSB
160 CW/SSB: K3/AL-1200, 4 SQARE - ops; N6RO, DG1CMZ - prop. OK, but T-storm
noisy.
Forgot abt 6m
Always a fun gathering of the Radio Oakley Contesters. Could have used one or
two more ops to match the station capability, mainly to have full-time daytime
coverage on 40m.
Tnx for all the Qs, N6RO
