Comments:

As other western US pre-Stewers have noted, the polar EU opening Saturday night
was really quite amazing. Cranking up the 500 watt after burner helped snag
almost every one we heard on the 3 ele Hi-Z rx array. Eastern US sigs seemed
weaker out here than last year. Pretty much fished out the band by 0700Z hoping
for a big JA Pacific opening at sunrise. But it never materialized. No JAs were
heard or anybody working any. Did manage to snag ZL7X and barely heard the VK9
but the pileup was fierce. Hoping the Big Stew will provide even more fun.
Should have a permanent 2 tower switchable phased array ready by then.
