Comments:

Thanks to Bob K8IA and Sandy N7RQ for the use of their station for the contest.
Their hospitality is always awesome.

Who was the idiot that convinced me to do a full effort in a SSB contest at
sunspot minimum? OK wait, that was me. What was I thinking. I thought things
stared out well with a good JA/Asian run on 15 Friday night. That was the best
it was all weekend. 40m was the worst I've heard it in many years. 20 was great
most of the weekend with a fantastic EU opening on Sunday morning. 80/160
produced some decent mults.

But on Saturday evening from about 0400z there was nothing on any band open that
I had not worked that I could hear and I called CQ with no takers. I decided to
take my last break till 0600z to be ready for EU sunrise.

Thankfully the Asians came through to provide good runs both afternoons and
early evening. Multipliers were plentiful on 20m and the band carried the load
for me.

I admit I had fun. for about 36 of the 44 hours I put in. The rest of the time
it was nose to the grindstone looking for stations to work or battling crazy
pileups.

Some juicy DX made its way into the log so that always makes me smile. A weeks
rest and I'd probably do it again. Next month for CW it will be back to
Multi-two as N7AT.

73,
Mike
