Comments:

QSO party scores and activity seem to be be on a downward decline and this years
NCQP followed the trend. Bottom of cycle conditions are a factor, of course.
Last year, I worked 293 Q's x 84 Cty = 61,182. 40 meter phone was far from
crowded from here most hours with decent activity from 1740-1900Z only. The rest
of the time, signals from north central NC were mostly weak to unreadable. Bert,
N4CW was the only mobile who appeared to operate full time. I only worked
K4QPL/M a few times. Many thanks to Bert and Jim for the mobile activity. The
lack of multiple mobiles definitely hurt all out of state scores. When I
returned from walking the dog at 1950Z, there was very little propagation or
activity from NC on 40. It was very early to lose 40! There was little to do
except work the guys who had moved to 75/80M early most of which would have been
logged later regardless of time spent chasing them early. I spent most of the
last hour on 75 phone as it kept producing some Q's and some pleasingly new rare
mults. I worked bonus stations W4DW x 5, W4MY x 3, W1VOA, and NI4BK.

Thanks to all for the calls and Q's. The casual activity from NC on 75 was about
equal to last year, hard to judge 40. There was definitely more from Moore
county, about 4-6 stations worked. Thanks to the sponsors for the planning and
log checking/write-up and generous array of plaques.

73, Jeff N8II
