Comments:

Score includes 250 bonus points.

We finally got a good day here in Kansas, so I decided to play in the NCQP until
noon, then go out and cut wood. I usually do my QSO party homework, but this
time I just turned on the radio without checking the web site for mobiles, bonus
stations, and a county list.

I was in and out of the party, mostly just having fun giving N4CW contacts as he
cruised between counties. He was the only mobile I found for a long time until
K4QPL surprised me with a second county, but in between I found a fair number of
intrepid fixed stations to keep me company.

Conditions were actually pretty good between KS and NC with 20 and 40 both open.
Noon came and went. I finally decided to try some CQs and started making casual
contacts (then 80 opened) so to make a long story short, tree-cutting will have
to wait for another day!

Thanks to N4CW for 37 contacts (it would have been even more fun if I could have
talked him into using his mic :-). W4DW was everywhere with both modes on three
bands, and K8AC wins the loudest signal into Kansas contest by a wide margin.

It's great to see both Carolinas working together on the Carolina weekend which
speaks well for the contest managers and the clubs. Thanks to all for the hard
work. Until next year ..

73, Bob, w0bh
