Comments:
Congratulations to the K3LR team for their excellent results in this
contest.
This was the 41st consecutive W3LPL multi-multi entry in the ARRL SSB DX
Contest.
Our luck ran out in this contest. The outdoor temperature was just below
freezing when it started to rain when the contest began. Ice built up
on the antennas for sixteen hours, ruining their directivity and VSWR
until the antennas returned to normal at about 1600Z, thankfully there
was no antenna damage. Our bad luck resumed when once again ice built
up on the antennas during the last two hours of the contest and
continued for most of the night.
Special thanks to VP9/W6PH and ZX5J who worked us on six bands.
