Comments:

First of all, a great THANK YOU to all who called us !

Secondly, a great THANK YOU to our colleagues at LA8W/LN8W who worked
tremendously for several weeks in advance of the contest on a major upgrade of
our station, in particular Tore, LA9QL, and Svein, LA3BO, on towers, antennas,
cabling and a lot of other outdoor jobs, as well as Lauris, LB1RH, and Mikhail,
LB8CG, on developing a superb, dedicated Antenna Control System.

Our new multi-multi setup comprised:

6 pcs FLEX-6600 with Maestros and SmartSDR in MultiFLEX configuration integrated
with N1MM+ logging program and our dedicated Antenna Control System.
Linears were still a variety of old and new ones, including one PGXL, one SPE
Expert 2K-FA, one OM-3500, one OM-2500 and two QRO Technologies 2500.

160m antenna:

5 element rotary beam LJ-105BA @ 18m
Beverages in 4 directions.

Also the new antenna switches, band pass filters and triplexers from 4O3A
performed flawlessly. Actually, it was our first time to try a triplexer setup.
Really amazing to transmit and receive on the same antennas simultaneously.

We were very happy with the performance of our new station setup, but we were
not quite satisfied with the conditions. The recurring coronal hole created
enough disturbances to damage our score, so we could not reach the same score as
last year - even with the greatly improved station setup.

We still don't have any in-band stations, merely one station per band, but they
are on our wish list.

We really look forward to the next big contest, and we can only hope for better
conditions.
Looking forward to see you again then !

Roy / LA5KO
