Comments:

40m was as productive as I had hoped; more noise than I expected and some QSB.
80m, of course, was it's usual noisy self at times making me wonder if I was
actually hearing a signal down in the noise. Between QRN bursts and my tinnitis,
it's a wonder I am able to copy anyone down in the noise floor sometimes. :-)
Most of the time there's a bit  of QSB that comes along to elevate the caller
out of the noise enough to be copied.
